Upcoming band The Pretty Fuse looking for a leadguitarist
The Pretty Fuse is seeking a solid and experienced lead guitarist (with backing vocal abilities).
In connection with the release of our upcoming EP, United in Uncertainty, the ambitious upcoming band, The Pretty Fuse, is looking for a solid lead guitarist and sound architect – preferably inspired by the creative intersection of artists like Kevin Shields, John Squire, or The Edge's work on Achtung Baby.
We are not looking for a traditional Hard Rock/Blues-shredder, but rather a sonic explorer who views the guitar as an emotional generator, masters effects as an independent instrument, and manages to bring well-composed sonic landscapes to the songs. You are able to weave both complex and beautifully simple licks and riffs into the music, and you have the courage to balance beautiful melancholy with the raw, dirty, and aggressive, always prioritizing dynamic texturing and overall atmosphere over flashy ego-solos.
Our music is Alternative Rock with elements from the First Wave of Punk, soul/R&B, and house. We blend smooth rock riffs with elegant R&B phrasing and danceable rhythms.
We expect you to have solid gigging experience, the ability to contribute backing vocals. In return, you love challenging classic guitar conventions, and you will get plenty of room to paint with the sonic brush in a serious, ambitious, and creative upcoming band.
We are drummer, bass, guitar and lead vocals with different backgrounds.
