'Gulshan' - An emerging World Music project wants musicians
Gulshan (Wilson Almeida) is an Indian 'Ghazal' singer, composer, and songwriter based in Denmark, dedicated to the poetic and musical tradition of ghazal. His work brings together classical South Asian aesthetics and contemporary presentation, introducing ghazal to diverse international audiences.
He has studied ghazal under the guidance of renowned vocalist Talat Aziz, and his singing reflects an emphasis on lyrical clarity, emotional nuance, and restrained elegance. Gulshan performs both semi-classical repertoire and original compositions, contributing to the living tradition of the genre.
'Gulshan' as a band wants to play World Music with musicians of Southern Jutland and practice some original numbers and covers. Currently looking for Acoustic guitarist, Bass guitarist, pianist/keyboard player, a drummer and a violinist. When we are fully ready with songs, we will be doing concerts.
