Copian, repitan.
Hey, spanish dude.
Thanks for saying it as it is. I think the title is the most true thing, you said.
Amateurism is the soul of music, though. Passion and joy is absolute. It isn't dependent on a wad of cash. It rejects it, like the toiletpaper it is.
No discipline, vision or hunger: Those are in opposition to each other. But i do agree: There is a distinct soulessness. Now, i don't know where you came from or when, but if that place still exists, hurry back. Find that soul again, before it dissappears.
Nobody listens, nobody takes risks, nobody wants to grow: That is my general experience. Don't know if that is Denmark-specific, though. Who wants to grow? A plant? A tree? Everyting stays the same, and the wolves eat us.
To do something different is seen as a threat: Yup. I don't see a huge difference between one fucked -up culture and another but there is very clearly a huge one between popular culture and human culture.
The role of music: I don't know why it's there. But for anyone, i have liked playing with, it's fun. It is not an obsession, the truth, or by any fucking strech of the imagination, work. It has to do with you and them. You think that here in Denmark the problem is that your demands of cohering to your rules goes unheard? Well I quess that's a problem for you.
Music isn't a social gathering? It probably mostly is. That doesn't mean we can't appropriate it, and make it fun.
And here's my non-annonymous name stuck to these sentiments: Christian Okman-Pedersen.
p.s: But also, let's jam, dude.
